Varietal: Rose (Nero d'Avola)
Region: McLaren Vale, SA
Colour: Ultra pale, coppery colour
Nose: Exudes nectarine, hybrid-tea rose, cherry and ginger aromatics.
Palate: A dry wine, with fresh notes of cut ginger, dried cherries that flow onto the palate. Bright acidity and a savoury, powdery finish pulls the wine together on the close.
Notes: [The Winery] typically made their Roses from Cinsaul and Carignan, but decided to showcase their well loved Nero d'Avola block. The handpicked grapes were pressed overnight with stems (aka whole bunch) to capture as much vineyard character, acidity and flavour as possible - but without the skin tanning typical of Nero.
